Your structure, your dimensions

Draw your own cut and fold lines, adapt an existing template, or bring a supplier’s dieline. Need a bespoke structure designed for you? Send us the brief.

Three ways to start

## Start with what you have.

### Draw a custom structure

Draw connected lines, rectangles, rounded corners, circles, polygons and arcs. Work in millimetres, centimetres or inches, with snapping, pan and zoom. Move, duplicate, rotate or mirror selected lines.

### Adapt a template

Start with a carton, mailer, tray, sleeve, insert, display, food pack, bag or envelope. Search templates inside the custom builder, set the size and material, then copy the linework to edit. Artwork starts blank; review the folds next.

### Use a supplier file

Import a vector PDF, SVG or ASCII DXF. Map the cut and crease lines, inspect the geometry, set fold angles and add your artwork.

One project from structure to handoff

## Check the flat. See the fold. Keep editing.

The custom structure opens in the same editor as our templates, so your artwork, previews and production files stay together.

1. ### Draw and check

Build closed cut outlines and place crease or perforation lines. Enter exact coordinates, undo changes and inspect highlighted geometry issues before creating the project.
2. ### Set the folds

Choose the root panel, adjust hinge angles and inspect the folded preview. The preview shows rigid panels; confirm fit and assembly with a physical sample.
3. ### Add artwork and save

Place graphics on the dieline and inspect them in 3D. Save the project and download its project file to preserve the custom geometry and artwork.
4. ### Export for your printer

Choose PDF, Illustrator, SVG, DXF or CF2 in Download, subject to your plan. Review the file and board specification with your converter before production.

## Tell us what you’re making.

Send the product, finished dimensions, material and reference links. Explain how the package should open, close and hold its contents, and which files your printer needs.

We’ll review the brief and follow up by email to agree the scope and quote. Submitting a request does not place an order or charge your account.

## Custom dieline questions

### Can I make a custom size without drawing every line?

Yes. Start with a [parametric template](https://dielinemaker.com/dielines) and enter your dimensions. Its construction rebuilds to the chosen size. Use the custom drawing tools when you need to change the line geometry itself.

### Can I edit a dieline supplied by my printer?

Import a vector PDF, SVG or ASCII DXF to map its lines and set folds. You can make a custom drawing from the open design. Check any changed geometry with the printer; an imported file keeps its original size until you edit its lines.

### Can I reopen or share a custom structure?

Yes. Save it as a project and download the project file with its geometry and artwork. A template URL alone cannot carry a custom structure. Use the project file when someone needs an editable copy.

### Is a custom design request included in my subscription?

A request starts a conversation about a bespoke design. We agree the scope, price and deliverables separately before work begins. The self-service editor’s file downloads follow your [subscription plan](https://dielinemaker.com/pricing).
