Production and files

## What it means in packaging

Common File Format version 2 is used to exchange packaging geometry with compatible production systems. Its role differs from a print PDF: structural lines and their interpretation are central. Receiving-system support determines what can be transferred reliably.

## A practical example

A packaging workflow receives a CF2 structural file alongside a separate PDF containing the printed artwork.

## What to check

Open a test export in the intended downstream application and confirm dimensions and cut-versus-crease interpretation.
