Geometry

## What it means in packaging

Product fit starts with this internal space. Allow for inserts, wraps, irregular shapes and the clearance needed for packing and removal. Nominal dimensions do not account for every closure projection or manufacturing tolerance.

## A practical example

A 90 mm wide product needs more than a nominal 90 mm cavity if an insert and packing clearance must also fit.

## What to check

Measure the product in its packed orientation and verify the assembled sample, including the tightest opening.
