## What it means in packaging

The cut lengths and remaining bridges affect how easily the material tears. A dashed line drawn for appearance does not necessarily define a usable perforation for a cutter. Its production meaning must be assigned explicitly.

## A practical example

A display carton can use a perforated strip so the shop removes its upper section after delivery.

## What to check

Test opening force and accidental tearing with the actual material; a screen preview cannot establish either.
