## What it means in packaging

It can provide branding and hold a set together while leaving the ends exposed. The fit depends on the wrapped object, material thickness and seam. A sleeve alone usually provides less containment than a closed carton.

## A practical example

A printed paperboard sleeve wraps around a soap bar or an unprinted tray to add product information.

## What to check

Try the finished material over the actual item and allow for sliding clearance without an excessively loose fit.
