## What it means in packaging

Small dust flaps usually close first, followed by the main flap and tuck tongue. The top and bottom may use different closures. Tuck geometry, material and fit affect how comfortably the carton opens and stays closed.

## A practical example

A retail soap carton can use tuck ends for access while its side seam is glued during manufacture.

## What to check

Test the tongue clearance and repeated opening with the chosen board and actual contents.
