Production and files

## What it means in packaging

It focuses on exchanging information between systems that maintain their own internal job models. It is related to JDF but has a different data structure, so changing a filename is not a conversion. Integration still depends on the receiving workflow.

## A practical example

A management application exchanges a job transaction with a production application while each keeps its own internal records.

## What to check

Confirm schema version, resource links and supported transaction details with the receiver before automating a workflow.
