Terms of service

The agreement for using DielineMaker: what each plan includes, how billing works and what you can do with the files you make.

Last updated 20 October 2026

About these terms

These terms apply when you use dielinemaker.com and the DielineMaker editor, 3D studio, templates and free tools (together, “DielineMaker”, “we” or “us”). By using DielineMaker you agree to them. If you buy a subscription, the terms of our reseller, Paddle, also apply to that purchase.

What DielineMaker does

DielineMaker generates packaging dielines from parametric templates, lets you place artwork on them, shows the pack folded in 3D and exports files for presentation and print. Design work runs in your browser and drafts are stored on your device. When you are signed in, your projects, their artwork and the files you export are also stored privately in your account’s cloud library. When you choose to publish a team snapshot, that project and its artwork are also stored on our servers for your workspace.

Accounts

Sign in with a Google account, or with your organization’s single sign-on where your workspace uses it, to use the design tools and download files. Your plan and free download allowance are linked to that account. Keep access to that account secure, and tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it. To buy a subscription you must be old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live.

Plans and the watermark

  • Free: every template, the editor and the 3D studio, with the DielineMaker watermark (our logo and dielinemaker.com) on mockups, renders, videos and proofs. Free accounts can download one file every eight hours, across tools and devices. Barcode and QR code downloads remain clean and share this allowance. 3D model (GLB) export needs a paid plan. Dieline and print files need Pro or Business.
  • Lite: unlimited downloads, with the option to switch the watermark off on presentation files: mockups, scene stills, batch renders, videos, spec sheets, and the proof sheet and 3D views of a client proof. 3D model (GLB) export is included. Production files are not included: dieline PDF, Illustrator, SVG and DXF, print-ready PDFs, press sheets and the printer bundle need Pro or Business, and a client proof’s artwork pages are watermarked previews.
  • Pro: unlimited downloads, including dieline and print files, with the option to switch the watermark off on every export, and SVG export with the artwork embedded is included. Pro is billed per seat, for up to 10 seats, and comes with a team workspace.
  • Business: everything in Pro, billed per seat for 3 to 100 seats, plus single sign-on through your organization’s identity provider (SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect), verified email domains and an audit log.

Project backups and diagnostic reports remain available without the download cooldown. The cooldown starts when a prepared file is released for download; cancelled or failed file generation does not use the allowance.

On a paid plan the watermark stays on until you switch it off when you export. The pricing page shows exactly which files each plan clears. Do not remove, crop or cover the watermark on files your plan does not clear, or get around the plan checks in any other way.

Prices and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Prices are listed in US dollars on the pricing page: Lite is $7.99 / month or $79 / year; Pro is $14.99 per seat / month or $149 per seat / year; Business is $29 per seat / month or $290 per seat / year. Paddle shows the final amount, including any sales tax or VAT, before you pay, charges your payment method and sends your receipts. We never receive your card details.

Subscriptions and renewals

Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price in force at the time, until you cancel. If a price changes, we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first if you prefer. If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries it, and until it succeeds your plan may stop clearing the watermark.

Changing plans

You can upgrade to a higher tier or switch a paid plan from monthly to yearly on the pricing page or your account page. The change applies to your current subscription as soon as you confirm it: Paddle charges your saved payment method the prorated difference at once, with credit for the unused time on your current plan, and emails you a receipt. To move to a smaller plan, cancel and subscribe to the new plan when your current period ends.

Teams

Pro and Business are billed per seat, and the owner, admins and members each use one. The owner holds the subscription, manages billing and can change the number of seats from their account, not below the seats in use. Paddle prorates the change. Admins invite and remove members and viewers. Members use the plan and share project snapshots. Viewers are free: they use no seat, a workspace can have up to 50, and they can open and download shared snapshots but cannot publish them. Only the owner changes roles or makes admins. Business subscriptions bought at the earlier flat price for three members keep that price and those three seats until the owner changes seats or switches between monthly and yearly billing.

Each person signs in with their own account: Google or, in a Business workspace that uses single sign-on, the workspace’s identity provider. Owners, admins and members receive Pro export benefits while the workspace’s plan is active and their membership continues. A viewer’s exports follow their own plan. Removing someone or ending the workspace’s plan ends those team benefits; each person keeps any separate subscription they purchased. Invitation links are intended for the email address named on the invitation.

On Business, admins also manage verified email domains and single sign-on, and read the audit log. A workspace can require single sign-on from its admins, members and viewers whose email addresses are on a verified domain. The owner is never required to use it and keeps Google sign-in. A workspace can also let new people on a verified domain join automatically when they sign in with single sign-on, as members while seats are free or as free viewers. People who were removed or who left are not added again automatically. The audit log records changes to members, invitations, roles, seats, domains and single sign-on.

Owners, admins and members may upload project snapshots for their workspace to open as local copies. A workspace can hold up to 20 snapshots of up to 20 MB each. The person who shared a snapshot, an admin or the workspace owner can delete it. Removing someone ends their access to shared snapshots but cannot remove copies they already downloaded.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time: on your account page, Manage billing opens Paddle’s customer portal, where you can cancel. You can also use the link in your Paddle receipt, or email us. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for. Cancelling does not by itself refund the current period; refunds are covered by the refund policy, which includes a full refund on request within 14 days of your first payment.

Your designs and files

You own the artwork, text and designs you create in or bring to DielineMaker, and the files you export from them. We claim no rights in them. Design work happens on your device; when you are signed in we store your projects, artwork and exports privately for your account, and a project reaches your workspace only when you choose to share a team snapshot. You are responsible for having the rights to the artwork, logos and other material you use.

Our templates and software

DielineMaker’s software, parametric templates, 3D scenes and mockups, and its name and logo belong to DielineMaker and its licensors. On every plan you may use the dielines, mockups and other files you export, for personal and commercial projects. You may not resell or redistribute the templates or scenes themselves (for example as a template pack), copy, decompile or reverse-engineer the software, or use it to build a competing service.

Acceptable use

Do not use DielineMaker to break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights, to interfere with the service or its security (for example by overloading it or probing it), or to get around the watermark or the plan checks. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

Check before you print

Dielines, sizes, bleed and print settings depend on your board, press and finishing. Check measurements and ask your printer for a proof before a production run. The editor’s preflight checks are an aid, not a guarantee, and we are not responsible for the cost of printed or converted material.

Availability and changes

We work to keep DielineMaker available and accurate, but it is provided “as is” and may occasionally be interrupted. We may add, change or remove features over time.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

Trademarks

Names of standards, materials, machines and companies mentioned in DielineMaker (such as FEFCO and ECMA style codes) are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify them. Their use does not imply endorsement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. If a change materially affects paying subscribers, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
