N-up
N-up states how many copies or positions of a design are placed on one production sheet.
What it means in packaging
Terms such as 4-up and 6-up describe the layout count. They do not state waste, yield after spoilage or whether every position holds the same SKU. The usable sheet size and blank geometry limit the count.
A practical example
A 6-up sheet needs at least 100 good sheets for 600 single-part cartons, before any setup or spoilage allowance.
What to check
Count every required part and confirm whether the layout repeats one design or gangs several different ones.
