Packaging proof
A packaging proof is a review version used to check a defined aspect of a design before production.
What it means in packaging
Different proofs answer different questions. A 3D mockup helps review artwork placement; a physical structural sample checks fit and assembly; an agreed colour proof helps assess colour. Approval should name the version and the checks actually performed.
A practical example
A client approves the logo position in a 3D preview, while the converter separately approves the folded board sample.
What to check
Record the revision and approval scope. A screen render does not establish colour accuracy or load performance.
