FEFCO codes identify corrugated packaging constructions. The official 12th edition provides a shared vocabulary for discussing a box shape across suppliers and languages.
DielineMaker offers editable examples of supported constructions. A matching code describes a structure; it does not certify board strength, shipping performance or complete coverage of the official codebook.
Read the structure before choosing a size
Use the official drawing to confirm the flap arrangement and assembly sequence. Similar silhouettes can hide different joints, overlaps and locking details.
| Reference | What it means | Design use |
|---|---|---|
| 0201 / RSC | A slotted case with outer closing flaps meeting at the centre. | General shipping-box starting point. |
| 0200 / HSC | A half-slotted body with one open end. | Specify a separate cover when the shipment requires one. |
| 0203 / full overlap | Outer closing flaps overlap across the opening. | Check closure thickness and sealing method. |
| 09 series | Interior packaging elements and fitments. | Plan protection alongside the outer case. |
From code to converter brief
Record the style, internal product space, material and caliper, joint, closure and intended distribution route. Check the assembled sample with the real product before releasing tooling.
FEFCO code drawings and the native templates are separate references. Inspect the exported cut and crease geometry and obtain the converter’s production allowances.

Common questions
Does a FEFCO code specify a load rating?
No. Material, dimensions, closure, environment and packed-product testing determine performance.
Is every official FEFCO design available?
This guide links supported native recipes. It does not represent a complete licensed reproduction of every official drawing.
