Food & bakery
Food and bakery packaging guide
A pastry carried home, a frozen meal and a dry snack have different packaging jobs. Begin with the filled product and how it reaches the customer. Select the structure only after defining how it is loaded, closed, handled and opened.

- Record the food dimensions, portion count and clearance above toppings.
- Tell the supplier whether the pack holds dry, greasy, wet, hot or frozen contents.
- Check the loading direction, closure and the space required by a separate liner or tray.
Compare relevant structures and products
The catalog currently includes 979 matching templates and named sizes. The groups below are useful starting points; coordinated brand sets are counted separately.
| Group and count | An editable starting point | Download purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Food packaging 267 templates and sizes | Macaron drawer Browse this group | dieline |
| Boxes & cartons 197 templates and sizes | Chocolate bar carton 8 × 1.3 × 18 cm Browse this group | dieline |
| Bags & pouches 104 templates and sizes | Windowed nut pouch 100 g Browse this group | dieline |
| Cups & containers 89 templates and sizes | Rectangular ice cream tub 1 L Browse this group | label template |
A supplied product model provides artwork areas. A packaging structure provides the corresponding dieline. Check the individual template page before preparing a production handoff.
Materials and supplier checks
The library includes carton, lined food board and flexible-film starting points. Their displayed names and calipers help build a design; the converter must specify the actual food-contact layers, inks, adhesives, seals and intended-use conditions.
Obtain supplier confirmation for the intended food contact and handling conditions, and have the responsible team approve food information and claims. A template, coating preview or 3D render is not a food-contact declaration or shelf-life test.
Choose the tool for the job
Match the next task to its workflow before choosing a template or buying a plan.
| Your task | Start here | Why it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Fit a cake, tray or multipack | Box size calculator | Separate product, inside and outside measurements before choosing the carton. |
| Make the structural blank | Dieline generator | Use an editable food-box structure and review its closure and material choices. |
| Prepare a retail code | Barcode generator | Use the assigned product identifier, preserve clear space and verify the printed sample. |
Check current plans and export access before purchasing. Production suitability and supplier approval remain separate from the visual proof.

Common questions
Does choosing a food-board preset make the pack food safe?
No. A preset supplies geometry and a material starting point. Your supplier must confirm the actual material construction and suitability for the food, temperature, contact time and filling process.
Can I use a mockup to check whether a filled bakery box closes?
Use it to inspect the intended layout, then make and fill a physical sample. Include toppings, liners and inserts when checking clearance and closure.
