Before you start
- What goes in
- A sample package selection, a background and a rotation.
- What comes out
- A sample PNG preview or an editor starting point for applying your own brand.
A practical example
Compare a carton and pouch before designing
Use the provided sample artwork to understand each shape and how it looks against a plain studio colour. Move to the editor once you have chosen the package for your own design.
Step-by-step walkthrough
Choose a package
Sign in if prompted, then select one of the sample package choices. This tool uses sample artwork so you can try the shape and scene quickly.
Set the background
Select a colour swatch, use Custom background colour or choose a Photographed scene. Compare the package’s contrast and the amount of surrounding space.
Turn the package
Move the Turn the package slider to reveal the face you want to show. Inspect the complete form before choosing the final angle.
Download or continue
Use Download sample PNG for the example, reading the current download and attribution rules. Choose Add your own artwork to open the matching setup in the editor.
Options at a glance
| Control or choice | What it changes | How to use it well |
|---|---|---|
| Choose a package | Selects one of the tool’s sample models and designs. | Use the full catalogue or editor for a broader template choice. |
| Studio colour / Custom | A solid background from a swatch or colour picker. | Choose a background that separates the package silhouette clearly. |
| Photographed scene | A preset photographic environment behind the sample. | Review scale and composition instead of assuming every scene suits every shape. |
| Turn the package | Rotates the sample for the selected view. | Show the main label without hiding important structural features. |
| Download sample PNG / Add your own artwork | Downloads the sample or opens the editor for your design. | The sample download does not replace the artwork with your own brand. |
Detailed control reference
Find the control, understand its effect, and choose it for the job you are making. Available controls depend on the selected structure, object, workspace and output.
Standalone Packaging mockup → step 1
Choose a package
Selects a sample product structure and its sample artwork for the live 3D preview.
- When it helps most
- Use to compare available shapes and understand how a simple staged package looks before entering the editor.
- Impact and trade-offs
- The standalone sample is not your uploaded brand or measured production package. Add your own artwork opens the editor with a starting recipe; inspect and replace demonstration content there.
Standalone Packaging mockup → step 2
Studio colour, Custom and Photographed scene
Palette/Custom sets a solid studio background; Photographed scene selects an available lifestyle set with a matching viewing elevation.
- When it helps most
- Use a simple colour for clear silhouette comparison or a photo set to judge a contextual presentation idea.
- Impact and trade-offs
- A background change does not recolour the printed package. Photo background details are fixed source imagery. Select a colour again to return to the solid studio option.
Standalone Packaging mockup → step 3
Turn the package
Rotates the preview through the package’s viewing angles while showing the resulting angle.
- When it helps most
- Inspect the front, side and back before downloading the sample composition.
- Impact and trade-offs
- This changes the presentation angle, not the structure or print artwork. The standalone page is a limited sampler; use Scenes in the editor for more camera, lighting, pose and arrangement controls.
Standalone Packaging mockup actions
Download sample PNG and Add your own artwork
The sample download renders a 1200 × 1200 PNG using the current sample and background. The editor link opens the chosen structure/sample recipe for further work.
- When it helps most
- Download for exploring a sample composition; continue in the editor to produce the intended measured, branded design.
- Impact and trade-offs
- Use the live account/download explanation for attribution, eligibility and limits. A sample PNG is a marketing image, not an editable project, flat artwork or manufacturing file.
Move into the editor for a finished brand asset
The standalone tool is a quick preview. The editor supplies face artwork, text, materials, detailed scenes, lighting, video and production files. Use the dedicated scene guide after opening your own project.
The tool shows its current free-download limit and attribution policy. Check that message before planning a batch of assets; account plans and export limits can differ.
Check your work
- The chosen package matches the shape you want.
- The main face is visible.
- The background suits the silhouette.
- The downloaded example is clearly recognised as sample artwork.
