Dimensions and logistics
Pallet sizes: Euro, EPAL 2 and UIC references
Plan a pallet footprint while keeping licensed construction and transport performance separate.

The EPAL Euro pallet footprint is 1200 × 800 mm with a height of 144 mm. EPAL 2 uses 1200 × 1000 mm and a height of 162 mm. Equal footprints do not imply equal pallet construction.
The native pallet presets are supplied-object mockups for presentation and layout. They are not licensed EPAL/UIC designs, manufacturing files or load-capacity certificates.
Size and specification are different decisions
Use the pallet operator’s product sheet for the actual load carrier. Include height when calculating the total loaded unit.
| Reference | What it means | Design use |
|---|---|---|
| EPAL Euro pallet | 1200 × 800 × 144 mm. | Plan the footprint and total shipping height. |
| EPAL 2 | 1200 × 1000 × 162 mm. | Do not substitute a 144 mm-high industrial mockup. |
| UIC 435-2 / IRS 40435-2 | Quality reference for the EUR-1 wooden pallet. | Consult the licensing and construction requirements. |
| ISO 18613 | Wooden-pallet repair criteria. | Assess repair requirements separately from load layout. |
Plan cartons on the actual carrier
Use external case dimensions for the layer arrangement. Allow for the receiving warehouse’s overhang, height and securing requirements.
The 1200 × 1000 native preset has a 144 mm height and is an industrial-footprint visualization. Its preset identifier does not make it an EPAL 2 pallet. Confirm the real carrier before using a scene for logistics decisions.

Common questions
Does a Euro-size model qualify as an EPAL pallet?
No. EPAL identifies a controlled pallet system with construction and licensing requirements beyond the outside dimensions.
Can I use the model to certify a pallet load?
No. Load capacity, stability, racking and handling performance need the actual carrier and packed-load specification.
