SVG
SVG, Scalable Vector Graphics, is an XML-based format for two-dimensional graphics including paths, text and images.
What it means in packaging
Its vector paths make it useful for sharing dieline geometry and artwork between compatible tools. SVG can also contain raster images, so an SVG extension does not mean every element scales without quality loss. Importers may interpret units and text differently.
A practical example
A dieline SVG can preserve the cut contour and crease paths for editing in a vector application.
What to check
Verify imported dimensions, line assignments, fonts and any embedded or linked images before output.
