Cosmetics & skincare
Cosmetics and skincare packaging guide
Start with the filled container, including its cap, pump or dropper. Design the carton around that object and its insert, then prepare the bottle label as a separate printed component. This keeps the product range consistent without treating every bottle shape as the same box.

- Measure the complete closed container and the space needed to remove it.
- List the bottle, outer carton and insert as separate components.
- Reserve readable panels for approved product copy, batch information and the barcode.
Compare relevant structures and products
The catalog currently includes 577 matching templates and named sizes. The groups below are useful starting points; coordinated brand sets are counted separately.
| Group and count | An editable starting point | Download purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Boxes & cartons 109 templates and sizes | Lash serum carton 6 × 6 × 16 cm Browse this group | dieline |
| Bottles & jars 124 templates and sizes | Square perfume 50 ml Browse this group | label template |
| Tubes 48 templates and sizes | Serum pump tube 30 ml Browse this group | decoration template |
| Gift & rigid 95 templates and sizes | Perfume vial trio box 3 × 100 ml Browse this group | dieline |
A supplied product model provides artwork areas. A packaging structure provides the corresponding dieline. Check the individual template page before preparing a production handoff.
Materials and supplier checks
Compare the carton’s available SBS or folding boxboard options with its actual caliper. For a label, use the supplier’s face stock, adhesive and measured printable area. A clear or metallic preview does not specify the final white-ink or foil separation.
Have the product team approve ingredient, use and claim text for each market. Ask the converter to confirm container fit, finish separations and a physical sample; the mockup does not certify cosmetic packaging compliance.
Choose the tool for the job
Match the next task to its workflow before choosing a template or buying a plan.
| Your task | Start here | Why it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Size an outer carton | Dieline generator | Choose a structure and enter the container-plus-insert dimensions before placing artwork. |
| Compare a skincare range | 3D mockup studio | Inspect labels and cartons together with the same camera and lighting. |
| Use an approved supplier outline | Supplier dieline import | Keep the supplied print area and fold references as the starting geometry. |
Check current plans and export access before purchasing. Production suitability and supplier approval remain separate from the visual proof.

Common questions
Should the bottle and carton use the same dimensions?
No. The bottle dimensions describe the supplied object. The carton needs room for that object, any insert and the agreed fit allowance. Label dimensions describe the printable component on the bottle.
Can I make matching artwork for several skincare sizes?
Yes. Keep each SKU’s actual template and dimensions, then repeat the brand elements. Review small text, barcodes and seams on every size instead of uniformly scaling finished artwork.
